Looking to get into fitness? Same guys, same. Even though I've been going to the gym for a year now and a few classes before that, I'm still open to finding new ways to enjoy fitness and find the motivation to keep me going throughout the year.
Now I know I'm not likely to get through all these in the same year, but I think it's nice to have some goals or a little wish list to start the year off right. It helps to make it really feel like a fresh slate- at least for me it does.
A few months ago I went through (in my opinion) a pretty gruelling time in terms of my career and its future. After the rest of my department left for other opportunities, there was just little old me alone at work. Seeing as though I initially took the job for the development and professional growth, with suddenly having no one available to teach me, I was left in career limbo.
So I've mentioned in the past how my skin care regime isn't exactly a refined skill of mine, in fact it's pretty much non-existent most of the time. Occasionally I'll slap on some moisturiser and be done with it, but even then it's a toss-up over whether or not I'll make the effort to do anything at all before I go to bed.
With more and more people feeling the stresses of life and actually vocalising their struggles, more attention has been applied to mental health and wellbeing these past few years. We’ve all had an experience with anxiety at some point in our lives and I personally have allowed myself to become aware recently of the state of my mental health and how things affect me in everyday life.
The inspiration for this post happened as I was researching a Mother's Day blog post for work. I've never really thought much into Mother's Day other than what to get my mum and if my sisters have gotten her anything better. But during my research I discovered that after getting the day nationally established in 1914, the founder of Mother's Day, Anna Jarvis, worked the remainder of her life to get it disestablished after she saw how popular it became- and not in the way she intended it to be.
Blogging isn't just writing content for your site, it's the endless social media promotions, image content and ideas that go into it. Sometimes it can get overwhelming and you can get caught up in it all. If you have a full time job or family then it's even harder to manage your time to make room for the blogging part of your life
You know the saying time flies when you're having fun? Well it pretty much just flies in general cause we’re in March already people! This has been both the longest and fastest few months I have experienced. And if these first three months have taught me anything, it's how quickly things can change in all areas of life. Your perspective on certain things, mood, career, even your mentality can shift on a dime. It's strange to look back and think of how these first few months have changed a lot of things, but have also brought clarity as well.
We all know what it's like trying to survive yet another work week, meeting deadlines or studying for exams. Trying to manage your work and home life can be difficult and sometimes your efforts just slip through the cracks. I myself have found difficulties trying to find that balance and have resolved to make more of an effort to take care of myself and my well being rather than focusing entirely on the demands of work. With this in mind, here are a fair few ways to help you make it through the work week.
Recently I've reached my biggest milestone yet...1000 followers on Twitter! Plus I've now got over 200 of you following Simply Chloe Blog! It's funny how it's the little things that make you happy, well not so little seeing as there's hundreds of you now! Despite only starting blogging at the end of October 2018, I feel like I've accomplished a fair amount up to now. So seeing as though there are so many of you now, I thought why not do a little Q&A as a way of re-introducing myself to any new readers and allow my long time readers the chance to get to know me better.
