Storm and Fury is a spin off from The Dark Elements series, another one I’d recommend to anyone. It's been some time since I read the original series so I wasn't even aware that there was a spin off due to be released. But I was browsing Goodreads for a new read when I stumbled across this beauty.
I found this to be a such a profound and heartfelt story that literally took me on a whirlwind of emotions from start to finish. The descriptive nature of Natasha Ngan’s writing literally manifests in the reader's mind, from the simple but worn down land of the Paper castes to the grandeur and dark opulence of the palace and the city that surrounds it.
Blogging isn't just writing content for your site, it's the endless social media promotions, image content and ideas that go into it. Sometimes it can get overwhelming and you can get caught up in it all. If you have a full time job or family then it's even harder to manage your time to make room for the blogging part of your life
The sequel seems to be a lifetime away from the first book. Set in a time of chaos, war and loss, we see the characters take their own paths in this fight whilst dealing with past consequences and new dangers.
Recently I've reached my biggest milestone yet...1000 followers on Twitter! Plus I've now got over 200 of you following Simply Chloe Blog! It's funny how it's the little things that make you happy, well not so little seeing as there's hundreds of you now! Despite only starting blogging at the end of October 2018, I feel like I've accomplished a fair amount up to now. So seeing as though there are so many of you now, I thought why not do a little Q&A as a way of re-introducing myself to any new readers and allow my long time readers the chance to get to know me better.
Like everyone else, for me January is a time where you have no money because Christmas has cleaned you out and payday seems so far away. So it's unusual for me to buy anything for myself within this time. I mean, after Christmas presents, there shouldn't be anything else I want right? But this year I surprised everyone by treating myself to a few things, so here are my January buys.
I'm really into my fantasy novels lately, luckily I seem to be finding genuinely enjoyable books that are worth a read (so far, touch wood). After seeing this book continuously throughout the Twittersphere and Goodreads lists, I decided to give it a go.
Some may think it's too early to start talking about New Year’s resolutions but Christmas has come around so fast, we'll blink and it'll be the new year. So before all the Christmas chaos of the upcoming few days truly begins, I thought I’d share my New Year’s blogging resolutions with you all. You know, getting a head start and all that.
Any book lover worth their salt has experienced those dreaded book withdrawals. When twisting plotlines, emotional scenes, quality characters and intense cliff hangers have taken you on an emotional journey of epic proportions. You can't help but feel emotionally drained after all of that. I myself get incredibly invested in every book I read, to the extent that I'm balling my eyes out with every character death, laughing at witty monologue and pining after every heart wrenching hero/heroine.
Archangels Prophecy is Nalini Singh’s eleventh installment in her bestselling Guild Hunter series. The author creates an incredibly complex, dynamic world where angels and vampires coincide with humans and archangels rule them all.
